Investments in chickens
Article Abstract:
Agrodruzstvo Jevisovice (AJ) (Jevisovice, Czech Republic), agricultural firm, wants to have a 10% share on the domestic chicken market prospectively. In 1999 the firm commissioned the second large-scale chicken fattening plant. The plant was built at a cost of 50 mil Kc. Currently, the firm is able to produce nearly 1 mil chickens at four farms and to supply about 7 mil chickens to the domestic market. AJ should invest another 50 mil Kc in 2000. The firm's proceeds should be nearly 1 bil Kc in 2000. About 50% of the 2000 proceeds should be represented by chicken production and the rest by milk, pork and beef production. The firm expects its proceeds to increase by 176 mil Kc to 500 mil Kc and its profit by 100% to 30 mil Kc in 1999 compared to 1998. >TB Agrodruzstvo Jevisovice (Jevisovice, Czech Republic), agricultural firm, economic indices Year 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 --------------------------------------------------------------- ChChicken production, millions of pieces 0.325 0.975 1.935 5.50 7.00 Proceeds, bil Kc 0.105 0.20 0.324 0.50 1.00 1999, 2000 - plan >TE
