Vacuum cleaner giant Dyson prefers to use traditional hands-on approach to rapid product development rather than simply relying alone on numerical software. Dyson believes that many of its discoveries come from actually touching and feeling physical working prototypes even though the computers are great for optimizing and improving designs with even concept designs often sketched by hand on paper.

Kettering based Failsafe Metering developed a unique meter-mixing dispensing technology 'Pulsmeter' for single and two-part reactive chemicals including adhesives, which assures the correct mix ratio before reaching the point of end product.
