Ranking of enterprises based on multicriterial analysis

Article Abstract:

The PROMETHEE and the analytic hierarchy process methods were used in ranking business enterprises based on their level of efficiency. The former is used for the final ranking while the latter is used in determining the importance of criteria. Results indicate that the ranks obtained by PROMETHEE I and II are very similar. In both instances, the enterprises A10, A11 and A12 are placed at the very top and represent the three organizations recommended to do business with.

Hybrid just-in-time logistics systems and information networks for effective management in perishable food industries

Article Abstract:

Companies need to gather timely market quality and sales information to remain competitive in an increasingly competitive market. This is particularly true in the case of the food industry, where effective logistics systems should be put in place so that fresh food could be delivered to consumers on short notice. An original hybrid just-in-time logistics system which balances between efficiency and variety of foods is developed.

Modelling of performance measurement systems in manufacturing enterprises

Article Abstract:

A set of procedures, methods and tools used for the analysis and modelling and development of performance measurement systems is illustrated. The control view, the data view and the process view are used in the endeavor to create a model for performance measurement systems. Results indicate that the importance of this process of modelling lies in the creation of the three views, rather than particular tools or procedures used.
