The next 25 years: the future of the construction industry
Article Abstract:
Parsons Brinckerhoff Inc Chmn Emeritus Henry L. Michel believes that several changes will affect the construction industry within the next 25 yrs starting 1997. Some of these include the increase in the number of women and minorities in the labor market, the introduction of new materials and the continued depletion of natural resources. Michel feels that the industry should strive to create a difference in the business environment.

What you can do to improve engineering education
Article Abstract:
The quality of the undergraduate engineering education system can be improved through the initiative of educators. However, faculty members must first be able to understand the objectives the reform efforts. The educational process should also be managed properly using a strategic plan. Finally, educators should be equipped with the technical skills needed to accomplish the said reforms.
