Tune in to a higher frequency
Article Abstract:
Almost 15% of electricity consumed is for lighting. The use of high frequency (hf) lighting can produce savings of 30%. Fluorescent lamps, developed during the 1940s, are extremely popular and need electrical or electronic control gear built into the circuit either externally or within the lamp, bringing together various components. With the electronic hf ballast, all these components are merged into one device. The use offluorescent lamps at a higher frequency can eliminate possible strobscopic effects. The system is quiet and switches on instantly.
