Understand the effects of retrace and aging in OCXOs
Article Abstract:
A clear understanding of the effects of retract and aging on oscillator stability is necessary to obtain the maximum performance of oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) or rubidium atomic-clock oscillator. Although the effect of aging and retract on rubidium devices is not a major cause of concern, it is still essential for system designers to understanding these things so they will know what precision oscillators to specify. Frequency errors will be more avoided if one know the effects of aging and retract on oscillators.
