West explains ISO 9000:2000 draft

Article Abstract:

James West, director of operations and quality at Tenneco Inc, provided the Indiana Manufacturing Association (IMA) with a comprehensive analysis on ISO 9000:2000. According to West, the ISO 9000:2000 Committee Draft primarily seeks to meet stakeholder needs, while providing enhanced quality to business processes. The draft further eliminates the need for ISO 9002 and 9003, and therefore, streamline an organization's management requirements.
