What is the probability that your employees will succeed?
Article Abstract:
Most supervisors mistakenly believe that instilling fear among workers, particularly with regard to job security, is more effective in motivating them to succeed. Moreover, they believe that first impression about employees are often true, negating the need for collecting data on individual performance. However, a simple exercise using a deck of cards reveals that these assumptions are baseless. In addition, the exercise stresses the importance of variation in encouraging success.

Information as a resource
Article Abstract:
Money, materials, manpower and machines must all be managed effectively to successfully begin, run and complete construction projects. Information is a non-physical, all-encompassing resource which connects these four critical physical resources and makes project management more meaningful. However, information is not a consumable resource. Thus, it can be reused without losing a considerable amount of its value and can even be enriched when used intelligently.
