Assessing pollution prevention program by QUAL2E simulation analysis for the Kao-Ping River Basin, Taiwan
Article Abstract:
QUAL2E, a water quality assessment model developed by the US Environmental Protection Agency, is applied to riparian management planning in southern Taiwan's Kao-Ping River basin. The model showed that while sewer construction and pig farming contribute to water quality degradation, additional controls are needed to reduce the impact of industrial waste-load.

Indentification of river water quality using the fuzzy synthetic evaluation approach
Article Abstract:
The article evaluates fuzzy set theory in an application for water quality management in Taiwan's Tseng-Wen River system. The fuzzy sets examined include simple fuzzy classification, fuzzy similarity method, fuzzy information intensity, and defuzzification. It is concluded that the latter two will yield the most accurate information.
