Evaluation of seasonal scale first flush pollutant loading and implications of urban runoff management

Article Abstract:

The influence of occurrence and magnitude of first flush events in stormwater on effective management of urban runoff pollution is examined to study the elevation of concentration of specific constituents in water runoff and the prevalent physical and environmental conditions. It is concluded that first flush results are inconsistent for dissolved minerals and land use and metal concentrations in runoff are not connected.
