Advances in windrow turning

An evaluation is presented on new machinery used to turn windrows at composting facilities. Called turners, the machines feature various mechanical actions that produce specific results. Turners can be categorized as auger, drum, trapezoid and elevating face, and many can also be used at bioremediation sites.
