Advancing poultry industry's environmental compliance
Article Abstract:
The Poultry Dialogue Research and Innovative Technologies Workgroup has addressed a number of issues relating to the poultry industry's environmental protection compliance. These include water quality, energy options and mass balance of nutrients. The Poultry Dialogue report details energy options including combustion/gasification, enzymatic conversion and anaerobic digestion. It also looks at water quality issues, focusing in Total Maximum Daily Load and linked fishable/swimmable loads.
