Aluminum pricing stays south
Article Abstract:
Scott and Stringfellow investment analyst Lloyd O'Carroll indicated that the aluminum market is in a state of flux based on the existence of an inverted supply-price relationship in the face of low inventory. O'Carroll, a veteran in the aluminum industry, noted the low levels of aluminum on the London Metals Exchange have not produced the expected higher prices. Industry players like O'Carroll believe that investors are causing the instability by hesitating due to the Asian financial crisis. Analysts are also concerned about an anticipated weakening of the US economy despite its current dynamism.
