Anaerobic digesters move into Oregon
Article Abstract:
Three digesters under construction in Oregon will process manure from local dairy cows to produce methane and agricultural soil amendments. All the digesters will have the ability to operate at thermophilic temperatures, and will separate anaerobically processed manure material into liquids and solids that have low to no Escherichia coli and Salmonella content and reduced nitrogen levels.
