Automated chlor/dechlor control protects fishery, reduces chemical and labor costs
Article Abstract:
The San Luis Obispo Water Reclamation Facility in California uses a with a high resolution redox (HRR) controller to disinfect and dechlorinate water. The 60-day test on the system proved its accuracy and reliability. The system, which is composed of a three-channel controller, two sensors in the chlorine contact chambers and one sensor in the dechlorination tank, was able to eliminate overtreatment and undertreatment, providing cost savings to the facility. Since the system was installed in June 1997, it has continuously provided reliable chlorination and dechlorination control.

Membranes help Olympic organizers conserve water for the 'Green' games
Article Abstract:
USFilter Australia and Vivendi Water built a wastewater reclamation plant at the 2000 Olympic Games' site in Homebush Bay, west of Sydney, Australia, to recycle sewage and rainwater runoff. The plant, which was completed in May 2000, employed a purification process that uses reverse osmosis technology. This sent recycled water for use as irrigation and toilet flushing water at the Olympic Games Village and the Homebush Bay Olympic Games facilities.
