Effects of vermicompost teas on plant growth and disease

Article Abstract:

A need to standardize compost and vermicompost tea production methods and application rates as far as possible to increase their effectiveness, is discussed. The hormones produced by the high microbial activity in vermicomposts are very effective in plant growth and disease suppression.

The use of vermicompost teas for suppressing plant parasitic nematodes and arthropod pests for healthier crops is discussed. The use of the tea has followed the successful Greenhouse trial.
