Article Abstract:

Planning a new solid waste cocomposting facility not only deals with odors but also with air quality and permitting issues, which was the biggest challenge at a proposed private 500 wet tons/day site in Virginia. A biofilter is used for air exhaust treatment, which is sized for eight air changes per hour in the building.
