European Union Intensifies Efforts To Sway U.S. On Climate Change
Article Abstract:
When the United States backed out of the Kyoto agreement, European Union officials made efforts to pressure President Bush towards keeping alive the international talks on climate changes. Meanwhile, Japan's Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi spoke of not proceeding with ratifying the treaty without the cooperation of the United States.
