Expanding compost markets in the Glasgow and Clyde valley regions
Article Abstract:
Survey conducted by a market development organization, to quantify existing green compost utilization and calculate the replacement markets bringing higher values, focusing on the populations of the Glasgow and Clyde valley regions of Scotland is described. The use of prevailing compost products with the replacement options and the hurdles faced while promoting the sales of green compost indicate that the surveyed areas had a significant demand for green composts.

Composting finds its niche in Yellowstone National Park
Article Abstract:
The West Yellowstone/Hebgen Basin Solid Waste District Board, in-charge of garbage collection and disposal in the Yellowstone National Park, a tourist attraction created a movement called 'The greening of Yellowstone' in the year 1997 due to increasing waste disposal by the visitors. This movement motivated the Park to implement a wide variety of pollution prevention, alternative fuel, recycling and waste reduction projects.
