Japan?s Suzuken Corp. has opened Bark Park, a live demonstration facility for green waste processing. The 130-year-old company has diversified and now offers land clearing, erosion control, grinding and composting, manufactured lumber, mulches and compost products, water treatment and bagging.

Finding highest uses for urban wood waste
Article Abstract:
A tree recycling program in California's San Francisco Bay Area is described. The program reduces wood waste produced by tree removal during land clearing, amounting to more than 5,000 tons per year that is diverted from state landfills.

Capturing wood from construction stream

A pilot project in Colorado's Fort Collins recovers approximately 40% of wood waste from commercial and residential construction. The recovered wood is used to produce mulch, compost and animal bedding.
