Ferrous wheel
Article Abstract:
The market pricing for ferrous scrap continues to be stable as of Apr 15, 2000. Don Zulanch of Middletown-OH-based Cohen Brothers Inc predicts a $5 trading range for ferrous scrap for the months of May and Jun 2000. The current stability is traced to the stable condition that exist on both supply and demand side. However, industry observers caution that the occurrence of a wider economic recession in the North American region will be enough to cause instability.

Article Abstract:
The 2001 ferrous scrap market is suffering from a slump in prices that is characterized by a very noticeable lack of demand in the open market. The major market for scrap suppliers continues to be industrial accounts but their demands have also slowed down considerably in light of reduced sales forecasts for the year. The industry forecast, as deduced from current mill melting capacity rates, is for continuing low prices for the rest of the year.
