Oxygen deficiency detector
Article Abstract:
Lake Forest, CA-based General Monitors has developed a new oxygen deficiency detection device. The TS420 oxygen deficiency detector is designed to monitor and detect oxygen depletion continuously in tightly confined spaces. It delivers protection in potentially reduced oxygen environments. The product features a two-wire loop-powered design, electrochemical cell sensing element and adjustment-free calibration. It is well suited for environments that are notorious for rapidly changing atmospheric conditions which can imperil the lives of construction and maintenance staff.

Leak-detection alarm and locator
Article Abstract:
Menlo Park, CA-based Raychem HTS is marketing a new leak detection device. The TTDM-PLUS alarm and locator module reportedly monitors up to 5,000 ft of TraceTek sensing cable when operated as stand-alone master system. The unit's digital display flashes a warning with a readout of the location as well as the time and date when liquid is detected. The system can be linked to a building management system or similar factory automation system.
