Supreme Court Broadens Property Owners' Rights In Takings Claim
Article Abstract:
In the case of Palazollo v. Rhode Island, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that landowners can file takings claims for being denied a development permit even if the environmental regulation barring the development was in effect prior to the owner's purchase of the land.
