A success in proportion: college enrollment is growing, but the numbers show the need for affirmative action
Article Abstract:
An American Council on Education report shows a 6.9% increase in college enrollment for Hispanics in 1993. However, Hispanics only earn 3.9% of bachelor's degrees in spite of comprising 14% of all US residents. This gap shows the need to continue affirmative action and recruitment programs.
