Article Abstract:
An analysis is presented on 'Out of the Inkwell', an animated series of cartoons released in 1915 by Dave and Max Fleischer. The work had a significant impact on the development of animated cinematography, including the emergence of Walt Disney Studios during the early 1930s and an emphasis on art-school education instead of newspaper cartooning experience.
