Predictions of nationwide declining or stable real estate prices in 2008 provide good opportunities for Hispanic investors and first-time home buyers to start looking for homes. Hispanics are significant players in the growth of the real estate market on account of their rapidly increasing earnings and establishment of households in the United States.

A survey conducted by the Pew Hispanic Center and Kaiser Family foundation shows that Hispanics living in the U.S. send funds back to family members outside the U.S. Statistics for funds sent to 10 Latin American countries is provided in a table accompanying this article. This flow of funds helps the sale of U.S. goods in Latin America.
