J.D. Powers Study: Hispanics prefer imports
Article Abstract:
The J.D. Powers' 2002 U.S. Hispanic Automotive Segment Report found that Hispanics prefer to purchase imported vehicles, that they rate fuel economy and resale value more highly than other market segments, and rate auto dealer service lower than other segments. The growth of the Hispanic market in the US makes this segment critical for automakers, who are advised to heed the criticisms of dealer service when targeting the Hispanic market.
