Managing cultural resources in the Himalayan Kingdom of upper Mustang (LO)
Article Abstract:
Tourism has imparted a major impact on the cultural resources of Mustang in Nepal and therefore, the management of the cultural resources of Mustang is crucial so that its people can maintain their cultural and economic identity. Culture resource management involves managing historic sites and change in material and non-material culture,accompanied by anthropological studies of dynamic social structure. The best way to preserve the cultural heritage of Mustang is by integrating tourism management with the recording and preservation of traditional culture.

Bhutan lies on the southern face of the Himalayas with its altitude ranging between almost sea level in the south and the ice peaks on the Tibetan border. Bhutan's early history is deeply connected with Buddhist religion and mythology, and not based on archaeological or documentary evidence.
