Constraints of history: the eliciting of modern Brunei
Article Abstract:
Three books discuss the history of modern Brunei. The authors of 'Historical Dictionary of Brunei Darussalam' failed to produce any new information about the country and also included wrong facts with regards to the members of the royal family. On the other hand, 'Turum Temurum' was an entertaining historical essay despite incorrect presentation of historical facts and issues. Fortunately, 'A History of Brunei' is an incisive overview of the history of Brunei.

Musharraaf's Kashmir Policy
Article Abstract:
General Musharraf believed Kashmir was an integral part of Pakistan and that, in accordance with UN resolutions, there should be a plebiscite of the Kashmiri people so they could achieve self-determination. Composite dialogue between India and Pakistan has produced distinctly meager gains with General Musharraf making it clear from the outset that he cannot accept India's preferred option of making the LOC into an international border.
