The origins and development of the jihadist movement: from anti-communism to terrorism
Article Abstract:
Attacks against the US World Trade Center and the Pentagon on Sep 11, 2001, were the result of plans by "jihad" Islamic militants who first confronted Russian military in Afghanistan. Current terrorist activities, including the second Intifada movement, is maintained by a small minority who have no objectives other than to continue terrorism.

The political life and culture in Japan is discussed. The capitalism, which developed in the later nineteenth and early twentieth century, has led the Anti-capitalist organizations to emerge and prevent the development of Labour unions and socialist parties.
