Hispanic auto dealers in California are realizing the importance of reaching out to Hispanic customers. Out of the 22,700 auto dealerships, around 218 or about 1% of this figure is mostly Hispanic owned. California is said to have the most Hispanic-owned auto lots.

Teachers Nadine and Patsy Cordova were terminated from their work for teaching Chicano history in their high school classes in Vaughn, Mew Mexico. The Cordova sisters were held liable for fostering a militant approach for their discussions of Chicano history.
