Minority business enterprises are now gaining heavy support from the government as the Clinton administration is currently doing an extensive review of the affirmative action programs. The Supreme Court's Adarand decision was perceived by many as a prelude to dissolving the programs.

Companies have until the Dec 31st, 1996 to adopt a low- or no-cost pension plan for their employees, after that date SARSEPs will be replaced by Savings Incentive Match Plans for Employees (SIMPLE). The two types of SIMPLEs available, 401(k) and IRA, are expected be more expensive.
