The quest for capital: A gathering of growth-hungry CEOs and investors yields insights on bringing capital into the US Hispanic economy

Article Abstract:

The Hispanic Business CEO Capital Market Roundtable held on November 10, 2005 brought together top CEOs and financiers to match money with opportunity in the US Hispanic economy. The agenda included, an overview of issues affecting the US Hispanic entrepreneurs' access to capital, financing strategies and rationales of capital-seeking CEOs, and equity financing challenges and strategies in the Hispanic economy, featuring a diverse panel of investors.

Article Abstract:

The General Services Administration (GSA) makes purchases of office and cleaning supplies, automobiles, courier services and desktop computers for the government. Many purchases are made under a schedule arrangement whereby it contracts with a company to supply services and supplies at a set price for a given period of time. Small businesses hold 77% of GSA's 7,000 schedules.
