John McCain achieved a high measure of respect for his ordeal as a prisoner of war in Vietnam which made the scandal he endured in the Charles Keating affair very difficult. This crisis was cathartic for McCain in prompting his campaign to reform political fund raising. He has currently joined with Senator Russell Feingold to introduce a law that would ban 'soft money' from interest groups.

Cultural ignorance and poor grammar are two factors that insure mistakes and unintentional double meanings will continue to appear in advertising copy. Disastrous examples such as Bayer's aspirin ad which stated,'Only Genuine Bayer can help save your life when taken regularly,' are discussed.

Symptoms of Alzheimer's disease include disorientation, extreme forgetfulness and confusion. Researchers believe that mental exercises can help prevent the brain deterioration that accompanies Alzheimer's. Tacrine is the only drug approved to treat Alzheimer's, but others are in research.
