Converting oral presentations into publishable articles
Article Abstract:
Oral presentations can be converted into publishable articles if authors are aware of the different requirements for each media. There is a greater freedom of expression allowed for oral presentations which often include jargon, redundancies, dogmatic presentation and problematic sentences. These same elements that capture an oral audience's attention will distract a written audience and so must be removed from the written product. Attention must be paid to sentence structure, process, form, proper language and focus. Visual media can also be converted through explanations in the text.

Families in times to come: taking a position on trends and issues
Article Abstract:
Despite the many problems and weaknesses which human families have to contend with, solutions to some of these current problems are possible. Looking into the future, overpopulation, aging, energy and environmental resources, conflicts between nations and ethnic groups and combatting starvation and illness are major challenges to be faced. Families will provide some of the solutions, such as increased home care for the ill and elderly, and will be required to make many lifestyle changes. Empowerment of all family members will be part of a successful restructuring to meet new demands.
