School-based applications of the wraparound process: early results on service provision and student outcomes
Article Abstract:
Application of an individualized wraparound project (WRAP) to students with emotional and behavioral disabilities (EBD) proves the efficacy of these services in preventing the students from moving to other restrictive educational settings. The wraparound approach may have a stabilizing effect on living conditions. Comparisons between the students identified through community system and those identified by special education reveal that those from school programs spent fewer days in psychiatric hospitals.
