Individualized services and supports through the Wraparound process: philosophy and procedures

Although, the basic procedure of the procedure is simplistic, its implementation is often difficult. Research on the wraparound process and individualized services for children with multi-system needs
Article Abstract:
Research shows that the wraparound process is viewed as an integral part of a system of individualized services for children and youth with multi-system needs. Efforts to support this institutional-type has been inflamed by the fact that with 87% of money available, only 2% of the emotionally disturbed youths are taken care of. The hastening of this process leads to various problems in its application. This failure makes it difficult to promote replicability, to address generalizability, and to compare strategies of service delivery.

Children lost within the foster care system: can wraparound service strategies improve placement outcomes?
Article Abstract:
The Fostering Individualized Assistance Program (FIAP) study proves the efficacy of individualized wraparound services in improving placement outcomes of emotionally and behaviorally disturbed children. The FIAP controled study reveals that foster children under the program seek changes less frequently than those under the Standard Practice Foster Care (SP). The post period analysis also indicate the superiority of FIAP over SP.
