Gender, parenthood, and anger
Article Abstract:
Parenthood increases anger and there is a marked gender inequality in the anger expressed by parents. A study of gender inequality in parental anger shows that women are more sensitive to the distressing aspects of parenthood, such as strains of childcare and economic strains. Mothers express the highest level of anger than any other group. Parents exhibit more anger than nonparents and the frequency of their anger increases with additional births into the family.

Parental divorce, life-course disruption and adult depression
Article Abstract:
The link between adult depression and childhood parent divorce is examined. Adult children of divorce were found to have lower levels of education, occupational status and income and higher rates of economic hardships, although they do not have lower levels of social support. There are no direct intrapsychic effects of parental divorce on adult depression
