Children can be fatally poisoned by many common household items that are not normally considered life-threatening, such as mouthwash, vitamin pills, and house plants. Parents are encouraged to routinely child-proof their homes, and to post the number of the local poison control center near a phone.

The safe outdoors
Article Abstract:
Outdoor play is a great release of children's energy and a source of accidents. Equipment standards and guidelines for eliminating hazards and instilling safe behavior are given for playgrounds, back yards, neighborhood streets and swimming pools.
