In-laws and the concept of family
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted on in-law relationships to test the validity of a definition of family that it is a group of people that entered into family relationships by entering their appropriate social roles. Results provide support for such definition of family. However, changes in all types of human relationships pose several questions as to in-laws, including how each set of inlaws relates to the couple, what factors affect the degree of influence each can exert and what happens to in-law relationships after divorce.
