Ovarian cancer
Article Abstract:
Ovarian cancer accounts for 5% of cancer deaths among American women. In most cases, there are no symptoms unless the cancer has become malignant. Although there are new and improved treatments, women should know more about the disease and become more aware of how risks of acquiring the disease can be lowered.

Diabetes: making progress

The development of oral medications, such as Glucophage (metformin) and Precose (acarbose), and new forms of insulin, such as Humalog (lispro), have made diabetes easier to treat. Early diagnosis of symptoms such as thirst, increased urination and fatigue helps prevent complications.
