Suggestions are presented for different plant-related crafts and activities to keep children occupied. Presented by age groups, ranging from birth to 8+ years, the ideas include creating "books" of pressed flowers, picking dandelions, "deadheading" blossoms, and making flowers and flower prints.

Labor-pain control: weighing your options

Article Abstract:

Epidural pain relief has the advantage that pain is completely removed but it may cause headaches and make labor longer. Spinal blocks act within a few minutes but it cannot be re-administered once it wears off. IV narcotics are also discussed.
