Repeat pregnancies among adolescent mothers
Article Abstract:
Researchers have sought to gain new information about adolescent women who experience rapidly repeated pregnancies following a nonmarital birth. Attention was given to proximate determinants of rapidly repeated pregnancy, such as the use of contraceptives, and to more distal determinants. It was found that rapidly repeated pregnancies among teenagers can be predicted to a certain extent. Rapidly repeated pregnancy is particularly common in younger adolescent primiparas and in those with a history of problem behaviours.

The relation of divorced mothers' perceptions of family cohesion and adaptability to behavior problems in children
Article Abstract:
The views of divorced mothers regarding family cohesion and its relationship with the behavior problem of children are examined using a sample of mothers receiving child stipends from the National Insurance Institute in Israel. Results show that behavior problems are minimal whenever family cohesion and adaptability are perceived as high and vice versa. This confirm Olson's model of coping with stress within nonclinical populations.
