Goofiness does not only strengthen the bond between family members, but can be a way of showing children what is positive and acceptable behavior by demonstrating to them how not to behave. Humor and laughter can also serve as learning tools, such as by playing 'silly sentences' and, in the process, building children's vocabulary.
