A two-family trip can be a good way to enjoy a vacation while strengthening bonds with close friends. Two-family vacations also offer child-care relief, split costs and ready playmates for one's children. However, careful planning is crucial to a fun-filled vacation. Goofiness does not only strengthen the bond between family members, but can be a way of showing children what is positive and acceptable behavior by demonstrating to them how not to behave. Humor and laughter can also serve as learning tools, such as by playing 'silly sentences' and, in the process, building children's vocabulary.
