The power of play: in a baby's first year, learning through fun is the name of the game
Article Abstract:
A baby learns about the world by playing, as by swatting or dangling a toy to see what will happen. Sensory exploration is important from birth to 4 months. The baby has a sharp sense of smell and hearing during that time. Hand-eye coordination is developed by age 4 months. Games and activities which follow the child's development will create constructive family fun.
