The skateboard standoff
Article Abstract:
A father recounts how he lost the battle of the $200 skateboard with his son. His son hated his first skateboard because the other children mocked it. His father agreed to help him paint his old board with wild and colorful patterns. When this was also booed off the street, the father capitulated.
