An idiosyncratic Pomerol
Article Abstract:
Chateau L'Eglise Clinet, a small estate in the Pomerol region of Bordeaux, recently held a tasting event of its Pomerols since 1985. Though the wines do not have a single defining style, each vintage emphasizes the inherent qualities of the Merlot grape. L'Eglise Clinet's owner and vintner, Denis Durantou, says that he wants his wines to reflect the character of each vintage. 1989 and 1995 were particularly good years.
