Atlanta scores a hit with debut auction

The city of Atlanta raised over $130,000 that will benefit the city's High Museum of Art. The dinner-dance and auction drew a total of 960 people combined, and revenues put in in the category of one of 1993's top wine auctions for charity.

Auction season limps to sluggish close
Article Abstract:
Prices were down and buyers bought less wine than usual this auction season. Bordeaux from 1961, 1978 and 1982 vintages sold, as did Spottswoode Cabernet. Wine buyers are urged to study their catalogues carefully.
