The success of vintner Bill Harlan is discussed. He owns a 240 acre winery called the Harlan Estate, and carved out of the forested hillsides of western Oakville, this winery ranks among California's greatest wineries producing Cabernet Sauvignon blends of remarkable density and polish.

Robert Young estate winery
Article Abstract:
An overview is presented of the Robert Young Estate Winery of Healdsburg, California. The first Cabernet vines were planted on the estate in 1963 and the winery was particularly acclaimed for its 1975 vintage. In 1997 the winery launched its own label.
