From shake-up to breakup at Mondavi
Article Abstract:
The Robert Mondavi Winery, once known as the crown jewel of Napa Valley, is facing some hurdles of outside bidders, financing for an acquisition and their own history of disagreements over the way to run business. On the recommendation of the chairman Ted Hall the shareholders of the company are planning to vote on the proposal to split the company into "lifestyle" and luxury divisions and shift the Mondavi's voting power from 85 percent to just less than 40 percent.
